Pesalink is an instant, open and interoperable payment network facilitating the transfer of funds from one store of value to another (Bank account, Mobile money, SACCOs, Fintech wallets) etc via online banking, bank mobile app or USSD of up to Ksh 999,999.

Pesalink is operated by Integrated Payment Services Limited (IPSL) and owned by Kenya Bankers Association (KBA). IPSL was established in 2015 under the National Payment System (NPS) Act.

Pesalink’s infrastructure allows transfer of funds across multiple payment ecosystems regardless of their specific platform. It allows all participants connected to it to interact with each other seamlessly. These participants include Banks, SACCOS, Fintechs, MFIs and Mobile money.

Pesalink is the instant and secure way to pay from account-to-account. Just follow these 5 easy steps:  

 

1. Open your online banking, mobile app or USSD and select Pesalink. 

2. Choose from the ‘send to phone’ or ‘send to account’. 

3. Enter the phone number or account details, the amount, and a reference (optional).  

4. Confirm the name, total amount and transaction fee and then make the payment.  

5. Check the instant notification (on SMS or App) on the transaction status. Contact your bank immediately if it doesn’t look right.

You can transfer up to 999,999 per transaction. However, your bank may have limits for security reasons. Kindly contact your bank and request for your limit to be increased.

All your Pesalink transactions appear in your bank statements, or the transaction history on your online banking and mobile app. Contact your bank for further enquiries on how to view your Pesalink transactions
